Jurassic World: The ExhibitionThe hottest tourist attraction is right off our Green Tour Museum Campus stop. Check out the Jurassic World exhibition at The Field Museum before it goes extinct after January 2018. The fossils will come to life as you walk among the breathtaking animatronic dinosaurs from the blockbuster franchise. In the exhibit you’ll come face-to-face with a Velociraptor, see the terrifyingly real Tyrannosaurus rex, and learn about dinosaur DNA from paleontologist Jack Horner. It will be a roaring good time for young aspiring paleontologists!
Hard Rock CafeDine like a rock star at Hard Rock Cafe. After a long day of exploring the city, chow down on gourmet food and listen to live music. Make sure to view all the memorabilia from music legends and get your photo in front of the giant illuminated guitar. This location also has a Hard Rock Test Kitchen that experiments with mouth-watering local classics. Just across the street is our River North Red Tour stop, perfect for when you’re too full to walk afterwards.
Chicago Shakespeare TheaterShake things up a bit and hop off at our Red Tour Navy Pier stop for a show at the iconic Chicago Shakespeare Theater. The incredible venue is known as the best Shakespeare space in the world. Upcoming shows include; “The Taming of the Shrew”, “The Toad Knew”, “Amarillo”, and “Red Velvet”. Get excited because coming this fall is the brand-new The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare. Make sure to get your tickets ahead of time to experience a play at this breathtaking venue.
Architecture and Design at the Art InstituteIf you’ve got an eye for design and passion for architecture, The Art Institute of Chicago’s new exhibit Past Forward: Architecture and Design at the Art Institute will spark your interest. The new installation includes 20th and 21st-century architecture in an integrated experience that will give you plenty to talk about. The Modern Wing display is the first of its kind in the US, so it’s a great opportunity to soak up the culture with friends. This stop, right off our Green Tour Art Institute stop, will be well worth it for architecture and design lovers.
Space out for a bit at Adler Planetarium with their new Mission Moon exhibition. Hop off at our stop right out front and journey to space where you’ll learn about the first steps to the moon. The exhibition covers NASA’s Captain Lovell’s journey to the moon. His heartwarming story of sucess doesn’t come without failures and setbacks. Learn what it takes to become an astronaut and how a young boy from Wisconsin became a national hero. It will be an out-of-this-world experience!
